Patricia A. Atkinson, age 64, of
Hopewell Township died early Sunday morning, April 16, 2006 at the
Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia where she had
been a patient for six days. She had been in declining health for the
past three months.
Born in Canton, the daughter of the
late Isaac and Margaret Boggs Pompper, she was the wife of Ronald G.
Atkinson. She had been a Hopewell Township resident for 30 years and
prior to that had lived in Upper Deerfield Township.
Before her retirement in May of 2005,
Mrs. Atkinson had been employed with the Cumberland Manor Dietary
Department for 22 years.
She was a member of the First United
Methodist Church in Bridgeton.
In addition to her husband, she is
survived by three daughters, Tonya Spindler and her husband Lee of
Cedarville, Stephanie Atkinson of Elmer and Rhonda Atkinson of Alloway;
two brothers, Raymond Pompper of Lower Alloways Creek and William
Pompper of Fairfield Township; four grandchildren, Anastacia Riley,
Barry Spindler, Steven Spindler and Samuel Isaac Atkinson and two
great-grandchildren, Robert and Annabella Riley.
Funeral services will be held at the
PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township
on Thursday, April 20th at 11 a.m.
Burial will be made at Fernwood
Memorial Park in Hopewell Township.
Friends may call on Thursday from 10
to 11 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
