James R. Mayhew

James R. Mayhew, age 66, of Port Norris and formerly of Cedarville died early Thursday morning, April 20, 2006 at South Jersey Extended Care in Bridgeton. He had been in declining health for the past six months.

Born in Bridgeton, the son of James C. Mayhew of Newport and the late Eva Robbins Mayhew he had lived at his present address for seven months and prior to that had been a Cedarville resident most of his life.

Mr. Mayhew was a self employed professional photographer and had also been employed with T & F Camera in Vineland. In addition he was actively involved with the sale of specialty photography equipment on E-Bay.

He was a member of the Bridgeton High School Class of 1957 and of the Newport United Methodist Church.

In addition to his father, he is survived by a son, Michael Mayhew and his wife Dawnette of Sanger, Texas; two sisters, Jane Rowland and her husband John of Pittman and Joyce Tomensky of Millville; a granddaughter, Kristin Mayhew of Sanger, Texas and his close companion, Louise Marone of Cedarville. He was predeceased by a son, Belford J. Mayhew and a brother, Dr. Joseph Belford Mayhew.

Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 160 Main Street, Cedarville on Tuesday, April 25th at 11 a.m.

Burial will be made at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
