Hannah Pepper Harris

Hannah Pepper Harris, age 79, of Penn Yan, NY and formerly of Cumberland County died Thursday afternoon, August 17, 2006 at the Homestead Residence in Penn Yan, NY.

Born in Millville, the daughter of the late Adam W. and Drucilla Trout Harris she had been a New York State resident since 1997. Prior to that she had resided in Hollywood, FL and Feasterville, PA.

Before her retirement Pepper had served as a dedicated missionary to the Seminole Indians in Florida for 28 years and later had worked as a missionary in the Italy, NY area. She had also taught school in Cedarville and Newport and had been a regional representative for Pioneer Clubs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

She was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church in Millville.

Surviving is a sister, Jeanne D. Arnes of Millville. She was predeceased by two brothers, Adam W. Harris, Jr. and Arthur J. Harris and three sisters, Alberta B. Gandy, Louella R. Harris and Beverly M. Pettit.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted by her pastor, Rev. Ernest Moore of the Maranatha Baptist Church on Thursday, August 24th at 10:00 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville where the burial will follow the services.

Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Cedarville.
