Mary Bryant daughter of the late
Charles and Mary Nichols departed this life on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, at
the Memorial Hospital of Salem County, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Bryant was born in Springtown and has been an area resident all of
her life. From early childhood she attended Bethel A. M. E. Church in
Springtown.
Prior to her retirement she had formerly been employed with Blue Coach
Foods in Vineland, Four Star Foods in Bridgeton and Wheaton Glass Co. in
Millville.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Robert Bryant, Sr., her
sons, John Paul Thomas, Joseph Thomas, Oscar Thomas, Lorne Bryant,
Robert Bryant, Jr., all of Bridgeton; five grandchildren; six sisters,
Eva Nichols, Laura Hannah, Dorothy Best, Beulah Farrow, Geraldine Ross
and Loraine Nichols; one aunt, Eva Green her a step-mother, Gladys
Nichols and a host of nieces nephews and cousins. She was preceded in
death by two sisters, Alberta Holley and Mildred Nichols; three
brothers, Charles E. Nichols, Jr., Herbert Nichols and Edward Nichols
and one uncle, Herbert Nichols.
Funeral services will be held in the Faith Outreach Deliverance Church,
100 South Pine St., Bridgeton, on Thursday afternoon, Dec.21st, at 1:00
O’clock. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Springtown. A viewing
will be held at the church on Thursday afternoon between 12:00 and 1:00
O’clock. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT
