John H. Lewis, age 54, of Bridgeton
died Thursday, December 28, 2006 at the Kindred Care Center in
Philadelphia where he had been a patient for one day following a brief
illness.
Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of
the late Horace and Sophie Tweed Lewis and was a lifetime Bridgeton area
resident.
John was a member of the Calvary
Bible Baptist Church in Bridgeton and was an avid baseball card
collector. He also enjoyed searching for lost items with the use of a
metal detector.
Surviving are three sisters, Dorothy
E. Spear of Bridgeton, Mary L. Mason of Upper Deerfield Township and
Patricia M. Strittmatter of Vineland along with nieces, nephews and two
great nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Horace Lewis.
Funeral services will be held at the
PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township
on Thursday, January 4th at 7 p.m.
Friends may call on Thursday evening
from 6 to 7 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
Cremation and inurnment will follow
at Laurel Lawn Crematory in Upper Deerfield Township.
