Dorothy Swift, 78, of Lower Alloways
Creek Township died unexpectedly at her home Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006.
The wife of the late Leon O. Swift, who passed away in 1999, she was
born in Salem and was the daughter of the late Raymond M. and Esther
Loper Werkheiser. She had lived at her present address since 1965 and
prior to that had in Fairton.
She had been a homemaker all of her married life.
Survivors include: one brother, Louis E. Werkheiser, Millville; one
sister, Pearl M. Fithian, Woodstown and several nieces and nephews. She
was preceded in death by two sisters, Alberta Taylor and Shirley Anna
Shafer and a brother, William John Werkheiser.
Funeral services will be held in the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 19, at
1:00 O’clock. Burial will be in Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton. A viewing
will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon between 12:00 and
