Helen Del Collo, 92, of Upper
Deerfield Township, died at Rainbow Center in Pittsgrove Township on
Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, after a brief illness.
The wife of Louis Del Collo, she was born in Salem and was the daughter
of the late Merritt and Addie Coleman Hignett. She had lived in Upper
Deerfield for 42 years and had been a resident of the Bridgeton area for
70 years.
Prior to her retirement Helen had been employed with the former Hunt
Foods, P. J. Ritter Co. and Minot Foods, all in Bridgeton.
Besides her husband, survivors include: one grandson, Michael L. Del
Collo, Upper Deerfield Township; one granddaughter, Deborah H. Morrison,
San Jose, Cal.; four great grandchildren, Kevin D. Morrison and Craig A.
Morrison, both of San Jose, Cal., Traci L. Del Collo Hider, Fairfield
Township and Brian M. Del Collo, Upper Deerfield Township and one
great-great granddaughter, Madison Hider. She was preceded in death by a
son, Louis Del Collo, Jr. and a sister, May Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway # 77 Upper Deerfield Twp., on Thursday morning, Feb. 9, at 11:00
O’clock. Burial will be in Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton. A viewing will
be held at the funeral home Thursday morning between 10:00 and 11:00
