Beecher M. Gravley, age 77, of
Bridgeton died Saturday evening, February 25, 2006 at his home. He had
been in declining health for the past year.
Born in Vivian, West Virginia the son
of the late James and Ollie Nixon Gravley he was the husband of the late
Esther Waller Gravley. He had been a Bridgeton resident for 48 years and
before moving here had lived in West Virginia and Virginia.
Prior to his retirement 23 years ago
Mr. Gravley had been employed with the former Owens-Illinois Glass
Company in Bridgeton for 30 years.
He attended the Centerton Free Will
Baptist Church in Pittsgrove Township.
Surviving are four daughters,
Patricia Johnson, Diana Hoffman, Norma Hall and Wanda Lloyd all of
Bridgeton; a brother, Vester Gravley of Bridgeton; two sisters, Beulah
Barber of West Virginia and Mabel Rotenberry of Florida 8 grandchildren
and 7 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Beecher Gravley,
Jr.
Graveside funeral services will be
held at Laurel Lawn Cemetery on Tuesday, February 28th at 2:30 p.m.
where the interment will follow the services.
The family asks that in lieu of
flowers contributions be made in Mr. Gravley’s memory to Hospicecare of
South Jersey, 2848 South Delsea Drive, Vineland, NJ 08360.
