Virginia E. Peters, 84, of Newport
died at her home on Wednesday evening Feb. 8, 2006. She had been in
failing health for the past year.
The wife of the late Joseph Peters, she was born in Texas and was the
daughter of the late Ella Peppermyer. She had lived in Newport for the
past 4 years and prior to that she had been a resident of Laurel Lake
for 15 years. Before that she had she had lived in Texas and California.
Survivors include: one son, Herman of Texas; one daughter, Shirley of
Missouri; a sister Dorothy of Texas and a brother Elroy of Texas and her
care giver, Sharon Newcomb of Newport. She was preceded in death by a
daughter, Barbara Hemple.
Funeral services will be private. Cremation will take place in Laurel
Lawn Crematory, Upper Deerfield Township. Funeral arrangements are under
the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Cedarville. Written
