Mary F. Hanby, 76, of Bridgeton, died
Saturday morning, Jan. 28, 2006, on South Jersey Regional Medical
Center, where she had been a patient for the past 17 days. She had been
in failing health since 2001.
The wife of Edward R. Hanby, she was born in Fairfield Township and was
the daughter of the late Harry and Helen VanMeter Smith. She had been a
Bridgeton area resident all of her life.
Mrs. Hanby had previously been employed with the former Jersey Package
Co. in Bridgeton for over 20 years.
Besides her husband, survivors include: one son, Edward L. Hanby,
Courtland Manor, N. Y.; two daughters, Karen H. Mix, Downingtown, Pa.
and Barbara A. Taylor, Bridgeton; two sisters, Ruth Miller, Carmel and
Helen Pritchett, Fairton; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held in the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Monday afternoon, Jan. 30, at
2:30 O’clock. Burial will be in Laurel Lawn Cemetery, Upper Deerfield
Township. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday afternoon
between 1:30 and 2:30 O’clock. Written condolences may be sent to the
