Millicent D. Johnson, 58, of Upper
Deerfield Township, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, in the Hospital of the
University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pa. She had been a patient at
the hospital for 3 ˝ weeks and in failing health for the past year.
The wife of Eddie Johnson, she was born in Bridgeton and was the
daughter of the late Ralph and Dorothy Hetzel Rogers. She had lived in
Upper Deerfield for the past 10 years and prior to that had resided in
Bridgeton.
Prior to her disability she had been employed with Kimble Glass Co. in
Vineland and the former Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in Bridgeton for a
total of 28 years.
Millicent attended Berean Baptist Church in Bridgeton. She loved her
dogs and was an avid camper with her husband and life long friend Eddie
and her dearest friends
Shep and Elsie Sheppard.
Besides her husband, survivors include: two sons, Eddie Johnson, Jr.,
Newfield and Michael D. Johnson, Bridgeton; one daughter, Kimberlee A.
Rizzo, Deerfield Township; a niece Sherri Riddle and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Wednesday morning, Feb. 1, at
11:00 O’clock. Burial will be in Laurel Lawn Cemetery, Upper Deerfield
Township. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday
morning between 10:00 and 11:00 O’clock. Written condolences may be sent
