Annie M. Jones, 76, of Bridgeton,
died Friday evening, Jan. 6, 2005, in the Regional Medical Center. She
had been in declining health for several years.
The wife of the late George I. Jones, she was born in Swainsboro, Ga.,
and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth Casen Burnette.
She had been a Bridgeton area resident for most of her life.
Annie had formerly been employed with Four Star Poultry Co. in Bridgeton
and Blue Coach Foods of Vineland.
She attended Shiloh Baptist Church of Port Norris.
Survivors include: two granddaughters, Yasheka Jones and Mahogany Jones,
both of Bridgeton; one grandson, Qyaysaun Jones, Bridgeton; a sister,
Mattie Archie, Swainsboro, Ga.; a special friend and devoted caretaker,
Wondell Hannah of Bridgeton, who is the mother of her granddaughter
Yasheka. She was preceded in death by a son, Edward I. Jones.
Funeral services will be held in Union Baptist Temple, South Pine &
Willow Sts., Bridgeton, on Saturday morning, Jan. 14, at 11:00 O’clock.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Hopewell Township. A viewing
will be held in the church on Saturday morning between 9:00 and 11:00
O’clock. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT
