Grace Haruko Kuwabara, 77, of
Glassboro, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, in South Jersey Extended Care,
Bridgeton, after an extended illness.
The daughter of the late Shokichi and Takino Okamoto Kuwabara, she was
born in Walnut Grove, Cal. She had lived in Glassboro for several years
and prior to that had in Seabrook.
She had formerly been employed with several area clothing companies,
including Seibel & Stern Clothing Co. in Bridgeton.
Survivors include: one brother, Yonebo Kuwabara, Seabrook; one sister,
Taye Kawata, Sacramento, Cal.; three nieces, Wendy Umino, Sacramento,
Cal., Michiko of Galt, Cal. and Kelly Kuwabara, Brooklyn, N. Y. and one
nephew, Nelson Kawata, Jr., Sacramento, Cal. She was preceded in death
by a brother, Shosi Kuwabara and a sister, Clara Yamada.
Graveside funeral services will be held in Laurel Lawn Cemetery, Upper
Deerfield Township, on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 4, at 3:30 O’clock. The
interment will follow the services. There will be no public viewing.
