Mattie Clemens, age 88, of Woodbine
died Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at her home. She had been in declining
health for the past seven months.
Born in Savannah, Georgia the
daughter of the late Andrew and Maggie Pikney Crawford, she was the wife
of the late Robert Clemens. She had been a Woodbine resident most of her
life.
Prior to retirement she had been
employed with the Woodbine Developmental Center for 20 years. Before
that she had worked for the Feits Clothing Company also in Woodbine.
Mrs. Clemens was a member of the
Lighthouse Deliverance Church of Woodbine where she was a Church Mother.
She is survived by a daughter,
Carolyn Moffitt of Woodbine; two granddaughters, Victoria A. London of
Woodbine and Erica D. Moffitt of Millville and four grandchildren. She
was predeceased by a grandson, Daniel M. Steward.
Funeral services will be held on
Wednesday, March 8th at 12 noon at the Lighthouse Deliverance Church,
Washington Avenue, Woodbine.
Burial will take place at
Steelmantown Cemetery in Upper Township.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 11
to 12 noon prior to the services at the church.
