Theresa A. Crispo, 90, of Newport,
died Thursday afternoon, March 16, 2006, in the Cumberland Manor. She
had been in failing health for the past month.
The wife of the late John H. Crispo, Sr., she was born in Philadelphia,
Pa. and was the daughter of the late Theodore and Catherine Canestra
Chivalette. She had lived in Newport for 59 years and prior to that had
been a resident of Cedarville.
Theresa was a homemaker and was a member of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic
Church in Cedarville.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law Frances and Robert
Mitchell, Fairfield Township; a son and daughter-in-law Bruno and D. J.
Crispo, Dividing Creek;
three brothers, John (Louise) Chivalette, Wilmington, Del., Frank
(Florence) Chivalette, Media, Pa. and Anthony Chivalette, Pennsylvania;
one sister, Mary Pizza, Charlotte, N. C., brothers-in-law, Fred
(Mildred) Crispo, Cedarville and James (Evelyn) Crispo, Bridgeton;
sisters-in-law, Catherine Birch, Vineland, Josephine Crispo, Bridgeton
and Theresa Pirotti, Milmay; two grandsons, Robert Mitchell, Jr. and
Richard Lupton; three granddaughters, Cindy Sanza, Kimberly Day and
Nicole Haines; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She
was preceded in death by a son, John H. Crispo, Jr., two daughters,
Diane Crispo and Carmella Lupton; a sister, Catherine and two brothers,
Ted Chivalette and Victor Chivalette.
Her Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday morning, March 20, at
11:00 O’clock in St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 367 Main St.,
Cedarville. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bridgeton. A viewing
will be held in the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 160 Main St., Cedarville, on
Monday morning between 9:00 and 10:30 O’clock. In lieu of flowers the
family requests donations to St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 367
