Robert M. Horton, age 68 of Upper
Deerfield Township died Friday, March 10, 2006 at his home after a brief
illness.
Born in Bridgeton, the son of the
late Olaf Warren and Lillian Whitesell Horton he had been a lifetime
Upper Deerfield Township resident.
Prior to his retirement in 2002, Mr.
Horton had been employed with the Upper Deerfield Township Streets &
Roads Department for 15 years.
He was an avid race fan at the
Bridgeport Speedway.
Survivors include his brother, Howard
O. Horton and his wife Doris of Bridgeton; a nephew, Olaf “J.R.” Horton
and his wife Gail of Bridgeton, a great niece, Melissa and a great
nephew, John; his companion with whom he resided, Frances Schaffer of
Upper Deerfield Township, her daughter, Dawn Mays and her fiancé Belford
Hawn of Millville, and France’s 4 grandchildren and 2 great
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on
Thursday, March 16th at 11 a.m. at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township.
Burial will take place at Friendship
Finley Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township.
Friends may call on Thursday from 10
to 11 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
