Kathryn Butler, age 81, of Bridgeton
died late Friday evening, May 26, 2006 at the Oceanview Rehabilitation
Center in Cape May County.
Born in Denmark, South Carolina the
daughter of the late George and Roberta Freeman Johnson she was the wife
of the late Frank Butler. She had been a Bridgeton resident for 22 years
and had lived in Fairfield Township previous to that.
Before her retirement in 1990, Mrs.
Butler had been employed with the Security Department at the Showboat
Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.
She was a member of the Immaculate
Conception Church in Bridgeton.
Surviving are three sons, Frank
Butler, Jr. of Philadelphia, George Butler of Maryland and Barron Butler
of Washington, D.C.; seven daughters, Geneva Johnson of Bridgeton, Clara
Hickman and her husband Lawrence of Port Norris, Mary Bowman of Vineland
and Cynthia Butler, Beverly Rogers, Carol Hester and Marvia Butler all
of Bridgeton; a Godson, Oscar Telfair of Texas, 50 grandchildren, 43
great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was
predeceased by a son, Carlton Butler, a daughter, Dale Butler, two
brothers, Willie E. Johnson and Willie Banks, a sister, Evelyn Johnson,
a granddaughter, Tracy Hickman Smith and a great-granddaughter, Kiyona
Smith.
Funeral services will be held on
Wednesday, May 31st at 11 a.m. at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township.
Burial will take place at Gouldtown
Memorial Park.
There will be no public viewing.
