Claude P. Hitchner, age 50, of
Vineland died late Saturday evening, May 13, 2006 at his home. He had
been in declining health for the past six months.
Born in Bridgeton, the son of Mary
Linda “Libby” Pettit Hitchner and the late Joseph C. Hitchner, Sr. he
was the husband of Alicia Andrade Hitchner. He had lived in Vineland for
two months and prior to that had resided in Millville and Fairfield
Township.
Claude had been employed as an
electronics technician with Bill’s Vending in Deptford and previous to
that had worked at Red Pack Foods in Cedarville for 13 years.
He was a veteran of the United States
Marine Corps.
He enjoyed horse racing, the San
Diego Chargers and professional football, the New Jersey Devils and
professional hockey and the martial arts.
In addition to his wife and mother,
he is survived by two daughters, Joesylen Cattafi of Deptford and Jovey
Brown of Vineland; three brothers, Joseph C. Hithcner, Jr. of Homestead,
FL, Ronald W. Hitchner of Lewisville, TX and David W. Hithcner of
Newport; two sisters, Linda Dix of Hopewell Township, Carolyn Williams
of Newport and three grandchildren, Zaire Q.V. Brown, Edward L. Brown
and Zaira J.J. Brown.
Funeral services will be held at the
PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 160 Main Street, Cedarville on Friday at 11 a.m.
Burial will take place at Cedar Hill
Cemetery in Cedarville.
Friends may call on Friday morning
from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
