Paul Joseph Macera

Paul Joseph Macera, 87, of Land O Lakes, Fl., formerly of Bridgeton, died in the Regional Medical Center of Bayonet Point, Hudson, Fl., on Tuesday, May 30, 2006.

The husband of Anna Erhart Macera, he was born in Camden and was the son of the late Antonio and Francesca Ferulli Macera. He had lived in Florida for the past 28 years and prior to that had resided in Bridgeton.

Prior to his retirement, he had been a Forman with the former Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in Bridgeton, where he had worked for 30 years.

Paul was a Veteran of World War Two, serving in the U. S. Army from 1939 until 1943. He was a Nascar enthusiast, Antique Car enthusiast and had raced Hobby Stock Cars

Besides his wife of 39 years, he is survived by: one daughter, Frances Macera Muffley and her husband Paul, Bridgeton; five sons, Paul Joseph Macera, Jr. and his wife Donna, Bridgeton, Charles Kwasnicki, Wesley Chapel, Fl., Robert Kwasnicki and his wife Melissa, Holiday, Fl., Thomas Macera and his wife Tana, Valdosta, Ga., and Franklin Macera and his wife Rebecca, Lewisville, Tx.; one sister, Mary Macera Scarlato, Cedarville; one brother, Samuel Macera, Waterville, Oh.; a sister-in-law, Shirley Macera, Bridgeton; grandchildren, Dawn Pettit, Debbie Muffley, Aaron Macera, Lauren Macera, Joshua Kwasnicki, Megan Kwasnicki, Rachel Kwasnicki, Taylor Macera, Ty Macera, Brittany Macera, Malachi Macera, Daniel Smith and Felicia Smith; great grandchildren, Jamie Olbrich, Zachary Olbrich, Emily Pettit and Abby Petit. He was preceded in death by four brothers, John Macera, Joseph Macera, Dominic Macera and Michael Macera and a sister, Florence Macera Bacon.

Funeral services will be held on Monday morning, June 5th at 11 a.m. at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township Burial will take place at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton.

Friends may call on Monday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
