Edward L. Bradford, Jr., age 80 of
Newport died Saturday morning, November 25, 2006 at the South Jersey
Hospital Regional Medical Center in Vineland. He had been in declining
health for the past six months.
Born in Dividing Creek, the son of
the late Edward L. and Catherine Fleetwood Bradford, he was the husband
of the late Celeste “Esther” DeVito Bradford. He had been a Newport
resident most of his life.
Mr. Bradford had been employed with
the Penn Glass and Sand Company in Newport for 30 years until his
retirement from that operation in 1987. He continued to work as a self
employed electrician for several years.
He was a veteran of World War Two
having served with the United States Navy and was an avid antique car
and motorcycle enthusiast.
Surviving are two sons, Edward L.
Bradford, III of Millville and Dominick W. Bradford and his wife Suzanne
of Newport; a daughter, Celeste A. Crispo of Newport; a cousin, William
Noker of Vineland, 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the
PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 160 Main Street, Cedarville on Wednesday, November
29th at 11 a.m.
Burial will be made at Cedar Hill
Cemetery in Cedarville.
Friends may call on Wednesday morning
from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
