Mary E. Mazzio, 79, of Bridgeton,
died in South Jersey Regional Medical Center on Friday evening, Nov. 10,
2006. Although she had been in failing health for the past 6 months, her
death was unexpected.
The wife of Frank Mazzio, she was born in Bridgeton and was the daughter
of the late Aaron and Marie Newlin Pettit. She had been a lifetime
resident of the Bridgeton area.
Before her retirement, Mary had been employed as a secretary with the
former Dorr Furniture Co. in Bridgeton and with the former Sharp’s Penn
Wallpaper Co. in Bridgeton.
She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Roman Catholic Church in
Bridgeton.
Mary loved working in her yard and she and her husband had formerly been
active in the Tuesday Mixed Couples Bowling League.
Besides her husband, survivors include: one daughter, Judy L. Morrison
and her husband Ray, of Bridgeton; a grandson, R. J. Morrison, Bridgeton
and one sister, Madge Olah, Bridgeton. She was preceded in death by four
brothers, Earl Pettit, Charles Pettit, George Pettit and Newlin Pettit
and a sister, Rose Howell.
Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the
family. There will be no public viewing. Funeral arrangements are under
the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
