JoAnn Marie Morrison, age 74, of
Fairfield CT died Monday, November 6, 2006 at her home with her son Todd
by her side.
She received her training and
graduated as a Registered Nurse from Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield,
NJ in 1953. She served in many professional areas in relation to her
career including independent business woman, administration and
psychiatric nursing. Other distinguished credits to her name included
architectural designer, fine artist, gourmet cook and breeder of Bichon
Frise Dogs. Her last award was a banquet given in her honor where she
received the Florence Nightingale nursing award with all of her
immediate family in attendance.
She is survived by sons David S.,
Scott D. and Todd R. Morrison; four grandchildren, Phoebe, Julia, Natale
and Helena; step grandson, Kim and an adopted brother, Dustin Dunn.
Other relatives include her aunt Margaret Graves Howard and husband Jim
and uncle Lester Graves and many cousins. She was predeceased by her
mother Alvernia Graves Turner and her father Irwin Leaming Turner.
Graveside committal services will be
held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville on Saturday afternoon, January
27th at 1 p.m.
