Margaret E. Halter, age 75, of
Millville died Monday evening, October 30, 2006 at South Jersey Regional
Medical Center in Vineland. She had been in declining health for the
past year.
Born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania,
the daughter of the late James and Sarah Walker Stillwagon she was the
wife of the late Donald L. Halter. Currently a Millville resident, Mrs.
Halter had moved to Bridgeton in 1952 and prior to that had lived in
Adah, Pennsylvania.
Before her retirement in 1995 she had
been employed with Eckerd Drug Stores for 10 years. She had also
previously worked for the Owens-Illinois Glass Company and the Siebel
and Stern Clothing company both in Bridgeton.
She enjoyed crafts and baking.
Surviving are three sons, Donald L.
Halter, Jr. and his wife CoraLee of Cedarville, Michael E. Halter of
Orlando, FL and James S. Halter and his wife Leann of Deerfield; a
daughter, Terri Lynn Halter of Melbourne, FL; a brother, David
Stillwagon of PA; three sisters, Gladys Butterbaugh and Jeanette Hanby
both of Millville, Shirley Waller of Hopewell Township, 8 grandchildren
and 2 great-grandchildren.
Cremation and inurnment will take
place at Laurel Lawn Crematory in Upper Deerfield Township.
