Martha L. Parker

Martha L. Parker, age 88, of Fairfield Township died Tuesday evening, October 10, 2006 at the South Jersey Regional Medical Center in Vineland where she had been a patient for three days. Her passing was unexpected.

Born in Port Norris, the daughter of the late Amos and Emma Leuallen Dillahey she was the wife of the late Frank Parker, Jr. She had lived in Fairfield Township for the past four years and prior to that had resided in Bridgeton.

Before her retirement in 1982, Mrs. Parker had managed the Bootlegger Restaurant in Fairton for over 25 years.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed baking, her family and her grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary Emma Fisher and her husband George of Rushville, Nebraska and Patricia Ann Brown and her husband James of Fairfield Township; four grandchildren, Sharon Gardner and her companion Vince Furlong, Cindy Gardner, Kenny Davis and his wife Claire and Scott Davis, 7 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Amos Dillahey, Jr. and three sisters, Katherine Bass, Burtress Nichols and Viola Dillahey.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Township.

Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
