Raul Leon Rivera, age 67, of Vineland
died Monday evening, October 2, 2006 at Cooper Medical Center in Camden
after an extended illness.
Born and raised in Cayey, Puerto
Rico, he moved to Vineland in 1979.
Prior to his retirement in 1999, he
had worked as a coat cutter for Rennoc Corp. in Vineland. He was an
Elder for over 34 years at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in
Vineland.
Raul enjoyed basketball and baseball,
and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Seventy Sixers and the Atlanta
Braves.
Survivors include his wife Rosa
(Negron-Feliciano) Leon; two sons, Raul Jr., and Carlos and his wife
Ruthie all of Vineland; four daughters, Yolanda Pierce and her husband
Jeffrey of Vineland, Janette Onofre and her husband Jorge of Bridgeton,
Ileana Rodriguez and her husband German of North Carolina and Awilda
Leon of Vineland; nine grandchildren, Sergio, German, Jr., Kyle, Yadria,
Jenise, Rosemary, Alondra, Yasmine and Zulene and one great grandson,
Treyvon.
A memorial service will be conducted
on Friday, October 6, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. in the Kingdom of Jehovah’s
Witness, 225 East Oak Road, Vineland, NJ. Funeral arrangements are under
the direction of the Padgett Funeral Home, Upper Deerfield Township.
