Frank "Hank" DeHart

Frank “Hank” DeHart, age 76, of Hopewell Township died Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at the South Jersey Regional Medical Center in Vineland where he had been a patient for two weeks.  He had been in declining health for the past four months.

Before his retirement 10 years ago he had owned and operated Frank DeHart Roofing and Siding and was known for his meticulous work as a contractor in the area. He had also been employed with the former Osborn’s Plumbing and Heating Company in Bridgeton for 30 years.

A Life Member of the National Rifle Association, he was a skilled marksman and had earned several awards. His favorite pastimes were spent at the Quinton Sportsman’s Club with all his “shooting buddies”, having coffee at the “old” Richman’s Restaurant while shooting the breeze and also dining with his wife at the Golden Pigeon. He spent his retirement tending his garden working on his prized limas, tomatoes, peppers, cantaloupe, watermelon and pumpkins for the grandkids. He also provided home repairs for his family and enjoyed a game of sports after a long days work relaxing in his recliner watching baseball, football, bowling or golf which were a few of his favorites. But his most captured moments were spent on Mondays with his great-grandson, Jakob Hart.
