Mary Ellen “Squeaky Mary” Holden, age
91, of Richland and formerly of Bridgeton died Sunday, September 24,
2006 at the South Jersey Regional Medical Center in Vineland following a
brief illness. She had been a patient at the Medical Center for two
days.
Born in Accomack County, Virginia she
was the daughter of the late Otha and Emma Stevenson Holden. She had
been a Richland resident for 7 years and prior to that had resided in
Bridgeton.
Ms. Holden had previously worked for
the former P.J. Ritter Company in Bridgeton and for Seabrook Farms in
Upper Deerfield Township before her retirement.
She was a member of the Church of the Living God in Bridgeton.
Surviving are three daughters, May R.
Johnson of Richland, Phyllis Holden of Bridgeton and Elizabeth Jenkins
of Vineland; three sons, David Holden and Marvin Holden both of
Millville and Leonard Holden of Bridgeton, 22 grandchildren, 40 great
grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was predeceased by a
daughter, Alice Stubbs and 10 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on
Saturday at 12 noon from the Crusaders for Christ Church, Reeves Road,
Bridgeton.
Interment will be made at Cedar Hill
Memorial Park in Hopewell Township.
Friends may call on Saturday from 10
a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the services at the church.
