Jean T. Brown, 86, of Harrison, died
Monday, April 16, 2007, in Mater Dei Nursing Center, Newfield, where she
had been a resident since January of 2004. She had been in failing
health for the past 6 years.
The wife of the late Thomas J. Brown, she was born in Harrison and was
the daughter of the late Ignatius and Stephania Roszkowski. Prior to her
moving to Newfield, she had been a lifetime resident of Harrison.
Prior to her retirement Jean had been employed with the Harrison Board
of Education for 25 years.
Survivors include: one son, Thomas A. Brown and his wife Jean, Upper
Deerfield Township; one daughter, Jeanne T. Brown, Harrison; two
grandchildren, Michele T. Richie and her husband Geno, Stow Creek
Townhip and Brian T. Brown, Upper Deerfield Township and two great
grandchildren, Alaina M. Richie and Logan Richie, both of Stowe Creek
Township. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph Roszkowski,
George Roszkowski, Leo Roszkowski and John Roszkowski and a sister,
Sophie Moczydlowski.
Services will be held in the Chapel of Holy Cross Mausoleum, Ridge Road,
North Arlington, on Saturday morning, April 21, at 11:00 O’clock.
Entombment will follow the services. There will be no public viewing. In
lieu of flowers the family requests donations, in Mrs. Brown’s memory,
to Mater Dei Nursing Center, 176 Harding Highway, Newfield, N. J. 08344.
