Rachel H. Dilks, 81, of Millville,
died at her home on Wednesday, April 25, 2007. She had been in failing
health for the past few years.
The wife of the late Benjamin M. Dilks, she was born in Cedarville and
was the daughter of the late Wilbert Prettyman and Bertha Elwell
Prettyman. She had lived in Millville since 1963 and prior to that had
been a resident of Cedarville. Rachel was also preceded in death by her
first husband, Carl Stiles.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist
Church of Millville.
Survivors include: one daughter, Melanie Nocito, Millville; two
step-sons, Ronald Dilks and William Dilks, both of Millville; five
grandchildren, including Melissa Nocito and Christina Nocito, both of
Millville; three great grandchildren; many step-great grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Carl
Stiles, Jr.; three brothers, Wilbert Prettyman, Jr., James Prettyman and
Champion Prettyman and one sister, Audrey Fox.
Funeral services will be held in the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Monday morning, April 30, at
11:00 O’clock. Burial will be in Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton. A viewing
will be held at the funeral home on Monday morning between 10:00 and
