Ann Craig Fiorani, nee Jepson, 98,
passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007 at Meadowview Nursing
Home in Northfield, N. J.
Ann is survived by her son, Frank C. Craig (Anne) of Mays Landing, N. J.
and a daughter, Barbara Wodarczyk (Ed) of Florida; a sister, Betty
Hofstetter of Bridgeton, N. J. She was “Mimi” to ten grandchildren;
twenty-one great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren and
several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sisters,
Louise Calabrese of Bridgeton and Vivian Hoag of Vineland.
Ann was a graduate of Bridgeton High School, Class of 1927. She was the
first distaff member to be elected to the Bridgeton Board of Education.
She owned and operated Ann Craig Travel in Bridgeton for many years.
She was a member of Soroptimist International and represented the
Cumberland County Chapter at the International Convention in Rome,
Italy. She was also a member of the Bridgeton Civic Club, Matinee
Musicale, Bridgeton Hospital Volunteers and R. S. V. P.
During World War II, she was a member of the AWVS as a spotter of planes
off the coast of Ocean County, N. J. She was an accomplished pianist,
playing at the Stage Door Canteen in Philadelphia. She produced and
directed Summer Theater for small children and teens in Breton Woods, N.
J. and for the residents of the Cumberland County Medical Center and
Woodview Estates in Mays Landing.
There will be no public viewing. Cremation took place in Laurel Lawn
Crematory, Upper Deerfield Township. Funeral arrangements are under the
direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township, N. J. A
memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in
Ann’s memory, to the Atlantic County SPCA, P. O. Box 205, Somers Point,
