Sarah E. “Sally” Sharp, age 80, of
Fortescue died Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at the South Jersey Regional
Medical Center. She had been in declining health for the past six
months.
Born in Port Norris she was the
daughter of the late Joseph B. Sharp, Jr. and Gladys Brown Sharp. She
had been a Fortescue resident since 1942.
Prior to her retirement in 1985, Ms.
Sharp had been employed with the DuPont Company at the Chambers Works
for 41 years.
She was a graduate of the Bridgeton
High School Class of 1944 and the Pierce Business College in
Philadelphia. She attended the Fortescue Chapel and was an active member
of the Fortescue Ladies Guild.
An avid wildlife preservationist, she
enjoyed feeding wild animals and cats in her area and enjoyed being
retired.
Surviving are a sister, Mary Stotler
of Millville; a brother, John Jacob Sharp of South Carver, MA and
several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers,
Frederick Sharp and Joseph B. Sharp, III and three sisters, Gladys
Massler, Joyce Bowen and Bernice Kline.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 29th at 2
p.m. at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton.

that contributions in Ms. Sharp’s memory be made to the Cumberland
