Edward F. Bragg, age 87, of Bridgeton
died suddenly Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at his home as a result of
injuries sustained in a house fire.
Born in Green Cold Spring, Florida he
was the son of the late Melissa Bragg and the husband of the late Daisy
Mae Watson Bragg.
Mr. Bragg was a veteran of World War
Two having served in the Pacific Theater with the United States Army.
Before his retirement he had worked
for many years as an oysterman on vessels sailing out of Port Norris.
He was a member of the Union Baptist
Temple in Bridgeton and was an avid gardener.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara
Deveaux and her husband Roger of Fairfield Township and Catherine Perry
and her husband Howard of Florida; three sons, Edward Watson and his
wife Roberta and Conald Bragg and his wife Dottie all of Bridgeton and
Tommy Bragg and his wife Essie of Fairton; a brother, Walter Bragg of
Pleasantville; a sister, Rozena Bragg of Pleasantville, 15 grandchildren
and several great grandchildren. He was predeceased by several brothers
and sisters.
Memorial services will be held on
Monday, February 5th at 11 a.m. at the Union Baptist Temple, South Pine
and Willow Streets, Bridgeton.
Interment will be made at the
Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell Township.
