Ruth G. Christos, age 90, of Upper
Deerfield Township, died Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at the South Jersey
Regional Medical Center where she had been a patient for three days. She
had been in declining health for the past nine years.
A lifetime Bridgeton area resident
she was the daughter of the late John and Emma Terry Hanby and was the
wife of the late James G. Christos.
Before her retirement Mrs. Christos
had been employed with the Wheaton Glass Company.
She was an avid gardener and enjoyed canning.
Surviving are three sons, Charles
“Bud” Christos and his wife Sherry of Fredericktown, MO, James G.
Christos, Jr. and his wife Betty of Hopewell Township and David Christos
and his wife Joyce of Fredericktown, MO; a daughter, Elaine Stell of
Upper Deerfield Township, 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren
along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son,
John Harold Christos, a grandson, Steven Stell, 6 brothers, Robert,
William, John, Harry, Walter and Theodore Hanby and 4 sisters, Bertha
Dresh, Emma Eyerman, Anna Carbonneau and Margaret Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held on
Saturday, January 6th at 10 a.m. from the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107
State Highway, # 77, Upper Deerfield Township.
Burial will be made at Fernwood
Memorial Park in Hopewell Township.
Friends may call on Saturday morning
from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
