Samuel A. DeSantis, 88, of Bridgeton,
died in the South Jersey Regional Medical Center in Monday morning, July
2, 2007, after a brief illness.
Born in Cedarville, he was the son of the late Harry DeSantis and
Elizabeth Profetto DeSantis. He had been a lifetime Bridgeton resident.
Prior to his retirement he had owned and operated DeSantis Television
Repair in Bridgeton for many years.
He was a veteran of World War Two, serving in the U. S. Navy in the
Pacific Theater where he was a Turret Gunner on the Battleship North
Carolina.
Sam enjoyed roller skating and 40’s & 50’s music.
Survivors include: two sons, Michael DeSantis, Stamford, Ct. and Timothy
DeSantis, Bala Cynwid, Pa.; one brother, Joseph DeSantis, Bridgeton and
one sister, Betty Richey, Bridgeton. He was preceded in death by seven
brothers, John DeSantis, Bill DeSantis, Frank DeSantis, Charles DeSantis,
Lewis DeSantis, Nick DeSantis and Harry DeSantis, Jr. and one sister,
Lena Dellorifice.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in the Church of the Immaculate
Conception, 312 North Pearl St., Bridgeton, on Saturday afternoon,
August 4, at 2:00 O’clock. Cremation took place in Laurel Lawn
Crematory, Upper Deerfield Township. Funeral arrangements are under the
direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township. Written
