Arthur Sampson, Sr., age 83, of
Rosenhayn died Friday, July 20, 2007 at the South Jersey Regional
Medical Center where he had been a patient for two weeks. He had been in
declining health for the past four years.
Born in Swainsboro, Georgia the son
of the late Lonnie Sampson he was the husband of Sara Shoemake Sampson.
He had been a Deerfield Township resident for 50 years coming to the
area from Georgia.
Prior to his retirement he had worked
for Six Point Produce in Rosenhayn for 50 years.
In addition to his wife he is
survived by two sons, Arthur Sampson, Jr. and Richard Lee Sampson both
of Rosenhayn; one daughter, Rosemary Robinson of Rosenhayn; four
brothers, Ed, Lonnie, Wash and Cooper Sampson all of Georgia, 13
grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter Sara Barnes.
Funeral services will be held on
Saturday, July 28th at 11 a.m. at the Bethlehem Revival Temple, 37 South
Avenue, Bridgeton.
Burial will be take place at Cedar
Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Township.
Friends may call on Saturday from 10
to 11 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
