Olaf Howard Horton, Sr., age 77, of
Upper Deerfield Township died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at
his home.
Born in Bridgeton, the son of the
late Olaf Warren and Lillian Whitesell Horton he was the husband of
Doris Hignett Horton. He had been an Upper Deerfield Township resident
since 1949 and prior to that had resided in Bridgeton.
Before his retirement Mr. Horton had
been employed at the former Spencer’s Antiques in Bridgeton for many
years and with Quaker City Tree Surgeons. He also was a delivery person
for the Philadelphia Inquirer in this area for several years.
In addition to his wife, survivors
include a son, Olaf H. Horton, Jr. and his wife Gail of Upper Deerfield
Township; two grandchildren, John Horton and his wife Lisa of Estelle
Manor, Melissa Horton of Connecticut and a great granddaughter, Jessica
Horton. He was predeceased by a son, Milton Horton a daughter, Ella Mae
Horton and a brother, Robert M. Horton.
Funeral services will be held at the
PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township
on Tuesday, July 3rd at 10 a.m.
Burial will take place at Laurel Lawn
Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 9 to
10 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
