Theresa Nardi, age 84, of Millville
died late Friday evening, June 29, 2007 at the South Jersey Regional
Medical Center where she had been a patient for one month. She had been
in declining health for the past seven years.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the
daughter of the late Pasquale and Mary Valenti Spagnola and was the wife
of Anthony J. Nardi, Sr. She had been a Millville resident for 56 years
and prior to that had lived in Bridgeton.
Mrs. Nardi had previously been
employed with the former M.C. Schrank Company for many years and the
former Seibel and Stern Clothing Company both in Bridgeton. She had also
worked for Dr. Robert Goldsborough with his veterinary clinic in
Millville.
An active member of St. John Bosco
Church in Millville she had served with the Ladies Guild, the church
choir and had assisted with the operation of the church bingo program
for 32 years.
She enjoyed crocheting and loved baking, reading and traveling.
In addition to her husband “Tony”,
she is survived by a daughter, Mary Sweet and her husband Wayne of
Hopewell Township; two sons, Frank Nardi and his wife Donna of Vineland
and Anthony J. Nardi, Jr. of Millville; two sisters, Rosina Sabatina of
PA and Mary Wagner of Bridgeton; one brother, Joseph Spagnola of
Bridgeton; six grandchildren, Kimberly Barry, Frank Nardi, II, Brian
Nardi, Jaina Nardi, Cori Nardi and Angelica Nardi and one
great-granddaughter, Mallory Barry. She was predeceased by two brothers,
George and Frank Spagnola.
Her Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. John Bosco Church, 2
Hillcrest Avenue, Millville on Friday, July 6th at 10 a.m.
Burial will take place at Holy Cross
Cemetery in Millville.
Friends may call on Thursday evening
from 7 to 9 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family asks
that contributions in Mrs. Nardi’s memory be made to St. John Bosco
Church, 2 Hillcrest Avenue, Millville, NJ 08332.
