Bertha M. Spears, 78, of Seabrook,
died at her home on Thursday, March 1, 2007. She had been in failing
health for several years.
The wife of the late Henry Spears, she was born in Rocky Point, N. C.
and was the daughter of the late Bill and Callie Mosley Hicks. She had
been a resident of Seabrook for the past 6 years and prior to that had
lived in Cedarville.
She had formerly been employed with Sorantino Farms in Cedarville.
Survivors include: one sister, Vernell Brown, Seabrook and a nephew, who
she raised, Carl Morgan of Bridgeton. She was preceded in death by a
brother, William Hicks.
Funeral services will be held in the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Saturday afternoon, March 10,
at 2:00 O’clock. Cremation, in Laurel Lawn Crematory, will follow the
services. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday
afternoon between 1:00 and 2:00 O’clock. Written condolences may be sent
