Barbara K. Schofield, age 68, of
Greenwich died Wednesday evening, May 2, 2007 at her home. She had been
in declining health for the past five years.
Born in Glassboro, the daughter of
the late Ivan and Evelyn Nutt King she was the wife of Edwin J.
Schofield. She had been a Greenwich resident for 45 years moving there
from Elmer.
Mrs. Schofield had recently retired
as Greenwich Township Treasurer, a position she had held for 17 years.
She had also worked at Arnold’s Store in Greenwich for several years.
An avid bowler, she was currently
active with the Coffee and Doughnut League at Pike Lanes and had also
been involved with leagues at the former Bowl-O-Drome in Bridgeton for
many years. She was active with the PTA during her children’s elementary
school years.
Mr. and Mrs. Schofield had celebrated
their 45th wedding anniversary on March 9th.
In addition to her husband, she is
survived by four daughters, Vicki Bittner and her husband Bruce of
Newfield, Debra Redmond and her husband Neal of Madison, AL, Terri
Bennett and her husband Gary of Upper Deerfield Township and Yvonne
Collins and her husband Dick of Monroeville; three sons, Norman Robinson
of Elmer, Randy Schofield of Monroeville, Rob Schofield and his wife
Beth of Cedarville, 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was
predeceased by a brother, Norman King.
Funeral services will be held at the
PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township
on Monday, May 7th at 11 a.m.
Burial will be made at the Ferrell
Methodist Cemetery in Upper Pittsgrove Township.
Friends may call on Monday from 10 to
11 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
