William W. Swift, Jr., age 28, of
Milmay, formerly of Cedarville died suddenly on Wednesday, May 30, 2007
the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Maurice
River Township.
Born in Bridgeton, the son of William
W. and Terry Johnson Swift he had lived at his present address for three
years and prior to that was a Cedarville resident.
He was employed as a corrections
officer at the Bayside State Prison in Leesburg for the past six years.
Bill was a 1996 graduate of Bridgeton
High School and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He formerly played
baseball with the Fairton Little League, West Cumberland League,
Bridgeton High School and Salem County College.
In addition to his parents who reside
in Cedarville he is survived by a brother, Steven M. Swift of Pittsgrove,
his fiancée, Denise Cunningham of Milmay; a daughter, Kaitlin Cunningham
of Milmay; paternal grandmother, Josephine Swift of Cedarville; maternal
grandparents, Frank and Thelma Johnson of Alloway and several aunts,
uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Omar
Swift.
Funeral services will be held on
Saturday, June 2nd at 11 a.m. from the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 160 Main
Street, Cedarville.
Burial will take place at Cedar Hill
Cemetery in Cedarville.
Friends may call on Saturday from 10
to 11 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
