Larry M. Zurlo, Sr., 55, of
Bridgeton, died at his home on Wednesday, May 9, 2006, after a brief
illness.
The husband of Tyra A. Tyler Zurlo, he was born in Bridgeton and was the
son of the late Anthony J. and Frances Sherma Zurlo. He had been a
lifetime resident of Bridgeton.
Larry had been a self-employed general contractor in the Bridgeton area
for several years.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in the Viet Nam Conflict. He
was known on the Citizen Band Radio as “Big Z”.
Besides his wife, survivors include: two daughters, Sandy Mick and Sheri
Vega, both of Bridgeton; two sons, Anthony Zurlo, III, Deptford and L.
Michael Zurlo, Jr., Bridgeton; four sisters, Connie Georgis, Port St.
Lucie, Fl., Elizabeth Blake, Jensen Beach, Fl., Linda Zurlo Burkhardt,
Jensen Beach, Fl. and Phyllis Uhland, Sebastian, Fl.; seven
grandchildren and his former wife, Brenda Zurlo, Upper Deerfield
Township. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Zurlo; two
brothers, Tony Zurlo and John Zurlo and three sisters, Dorothy “Dottie”
Nuttall, Gloria Zurlo and Jennie Pierce.
Funeral services will be held in the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Saturday morning, May 12, at
11:00 O’clock. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Millville. A
viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday morning between
10:00 and 11:00 O’clock. Written condolences may be sent to the family
