Phillip Issac Cisrow, aged 52, of
Port Norris, went home to be with the Lord on Friday evening, Nov. 9,
2007. He passed away in the South Jersey HospiceCare, Bridgeton and had
been in failing health for the past year.
The husband of the late Shirley “Nisey” Waters Cisrow, he was born in
Port Norris and was the son of Beryl F. Whittington of Port Norris and
the late Evelyn Livingston Whittington. He had been a lifetime resident
of Port Norris.
Prior to his illness he had formerly been employed with Bateman Seafood
Co. in Port Norris, Reed and Reed Oyster Co., Port Norris and Gorton
Seafood Co. of Millville.
He was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church of Port Norris.
Besides his father, survivors include: twelve children: Philip “Booboo”
Jones, Jacqueline Jones, Wanda Jones, Shena Jones, Duran Waters,
Philshae Waters, Quamier Waters, Jevon Lee, Chanel Lawson, Cameron
Cottingham, Philip Cisrow, Jr. and Vivian Cisrow; nine brothers and
sisters, Theole Rodriguez, Marida Tindell, Stan Williams, James Cisrow,
Donald Cisrow, Ronald Cisrow, Barbara Eckeard, Sarah Cisrow and Shirlene
Smith and seventeen grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the Shiloh Baptist Church, Memorial
Avenue, Port Norris, on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 15, at 1:00 O’clock.
Burial will be in Haleyville Cemetery, Commercial Township. A viewing
will be held at the church on Thursday between 11:00 and 1:00 O’clock.
