Gustav “Gus” Hughes, age 51, of
Newport died Monday, November 26, 2007 at South Jersey Regional Medical
Center.
Born in Millville, he was the son of
the late Clarence and Anna Robinson Hughes. He had been a Newport
resident for five years and prior to that had lived in Utah for several
years before returning to the area.
He had previously been employed as a
corrections officer with the Southern State Correctional Facility in
Leesburg and had also formerly worked as a Taxi dispatcher and at T-Fal
Corporation in Millville.
He is survived by two sons, William
Hughes of Mullica Hill and Gustav F. Hughes, Jr., U.S. Air Force,
stationed in California; three daughters, Crystal Bolten of Newfield,
Charlene Hughes and Sarah Hughes both of Washington Township; his
companion with whom resided, Linda Weldon and her children Robbie
Weldon, Jr. and Diania Buchecker and 8 grandchildren.

FUNERAL HOME, 160 Main Street, Cedarville on Friday, November 30th from
2 to 4 p.m.
Cremation and inurnment will take
place at Laurel Lawn Crematory in Upper Deerfield Township.
