Elsie P. Noyes

Elsie P. Noyes, 92, of Shiloh, passed away in the South Jersey Hospital System-Elmer, on Friday morning, Nov. 9, 2007. She had been in failing health for the past month and a patient at the hospital for one day.

The wife of the late Franklin D. Noyes, she was born in Newport and was the daughter of the late William and Carrie Page. She had been a Shiloh resident for 65 years and prior to that had lived in Bridgeton and Newport.

Before her retirement, Elsie had worked with her late husband as office manager for the family business, the F. D. Noyes Service Center in Shiloh.

She was a member of the Eastern Star, Shiloh Grange, Ladies Auxiliary of the Shiloh Fire Department and the Shiloh Senior Group. She and her late husband were avid campers and enjoyed traveling extensively in their motor home. After her husband’s death she enjoyed bus trips to Atlantic City.

Survivors include: one son, William A. Noyes and his wife Lynn of Shiloh; her daughter in law, Dolores Noyes, Shiloh; one grandson, William A. Noyes, Jr. and his wife Laurie, Riverview, Fla.; three granddaughters, Lynette Noyes Newkirk and her husband Glen, Shiloh, Jacqueline N. Burton, Shiloh and Delores A. Noyes, Shiloh; five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Franklin D. Noyes, Jr. and two sisters, Matilda Page Nasuti and Edith Kent.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Cedarville. There will be no public viewing. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations, in Mrs. Noyes’ memory, to the Shiloh Volunteer Fire Company, Main St. Shiloh, N. J. 08353. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
