Hubert L. Overstreet, 77, of
Vineland, died in the emergency room of South Jersey Regional Medical
Center on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007.
The husband of the late Phyllis M. Ruberti Overstreet, he was born in
Thaxton, Va. and was the son of the late Matthew W. Overstreet and Viola
Welch Overstreet.
He had been a longtime resident of Vineland, coming from Virginia.
Prior to his retirement, Hubert had been employed with Wheaton Glass Co.
in Millville for over 30 years.
Survivors include: one brother, Bennie Overstreet, Bedford, Va. and
several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death
by two brothers, Rev. Abner Burks Overstreet and Matthew “Cracker”
Overstreet and a sister, Flossie “Tessie” Ford.
Rev. Paul D. Sprouse will conduct funeral services in the PADGETT
FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Monday
morning, Nov. 19, at 11:00 O’clock. Burial will be in Centerton Free
Will Baptist Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on
Monday morning between 10:00 and 11:00 O’clock. Written condolences may
