Bernice L. Wheeler, age 86, of Upper
Deerfield Township died early Monday morning, November 26, 2007 at the
South Jersey HospiceCare Unit in Bridgeton.
Born in Carlisle, PA she was the
daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Smith Ocker and the wife of the late
Paul L. Wheeler, Jr. She had been an Upper Deerfield Township resident
for five years coming to this area from Hunterdon County.
Mrs. Wheeler was a member of Stewart
Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star Lodge # 166 in High Bridge and the
Cohansey Hattitudes Red Hats Club.
She is survived by her daughter in
law with whom she resided, Virginia Wheeler of Upper Deerfield Township;
a son, Frank Wheeler of Blandon, PA; a daughter, Gladys Betso of Staten
Island, NY, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was “Beloved
Grammy” to her great-grandchildren Nichole L. Rouse and Shane E. Rouse.
Mrs.Wheeler was predeceased by a son, Paul L. Wheeler, III and a
daughter, Beverly Wheeler.
Memorial services will be held at the
PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township
on Thursday evening, November 29th at 7 p.m.
Friends may call on Thursday evening
from 6 to 7 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
