Druscilla Williams, 76, of Vineland,
died unexpectedly at her home on Friday, Nov. 16, 2007. She had been in
failing health for the past 4 years.
The wife of the late Walter J. Williams, Sr., she was born in Glassboro
and was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Sarah Parker
Jackson. She had been a resident of Vineland for 22 years and prior to
that she had lived in Glassboro.
Prior to her retirement in 1994, Druscilla had been employed with the
Vineland Developmental Center for 19 years.
Survivors include: one daughter, Beverly A. Brooks, Bridgeton; one
brother, James Jackson, Philadelphia, Pa.; five sisters, Elizabeth
Carter, Willow Grove, Pa., Esther Neal, Woodstown, Mabel McCloud,
Bridgeton, Evelyn Gibson, Gastonia, N. C. and Arlene White, Woodstown;
five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by a son, Larry Jackson; two brothers, Charles Jackson and Jessie
White and a sister, Juanita Royal.
Funeral services will be held in the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Friday, Nov. 23, at 12:00
O’clock noon. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Hopewell
Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday morning
between 11:00 and 12:00 O’clock. Written condolences may be sent to the
