Roger F. Samartino, age 70, of
Rosenhayn died Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at Genesis-Millville Center. He
had been in declining health for the past year.
Born in Philadelphia, the son of the
late Peter and Margaret Fox Samartino he was the husband of Rita Pizzo
Samartino.
Mr. Samartino had lived in Rosenhayn
for the past nine years and prior to that resided in North Wildwood.
Before his retirement 27 years ago he
was an officer with the North Wildwood Police Department for over 15
years.
He was a United States Army Veteran
and a member of PBA Local 59, North Wildwood.
In addition to his wife, he is
survived by a son, Roger A. Samartino; two sisters, Dolores Talarico of
Deptford and Catherine Zabrodski of Mantua and four grandchildren,
Cindy, Matthew, Kimberly and Ethan. He was predeceased by a son, Ronald
Samartino and a sister, Anna Samartino.
Private funeral services will be held
at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction
of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.

that contributions in Mr. Samartino’s memory be made to either South
Jersey HospiceCare, P.O. Box 160, Bridgeton, NJ 08302 or to the American
Cancer Society, Cumberland Unit, P.O. Box 5066, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
