Dorothy Gross, 72, of Bridgeton, died
at Kindred Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa. on Sunday, September 23, 2007.
She had been in failing health for the past 7 years.
The wife of the late Ernest F. Gross, Jr., she was born in Orangeburg,
S. C. and was the daughter of the late Charles Jamison and Clara Mc
Michaels Jamison. She had lived in Bridgeton for the past 8 years and
prior to that had resided in Port Norris.
Dorothy had formerly been employed with Peterson Packing Co. and the
Jack King Oyster Co., both in Port Norris.
Survivors include: nine daughters, June Ann Rodgers, Bridgeton, Melissa
Gross, Upper Deerfield Twp., Eunice Jenkins, Millville, Belinda Gross,
Millville, Ernette Jennings, Bridgeton, Vivian Gross, Texas, Bernetta
Gross, Virginia, Lenore Spencer, Georgia and Roberta Jamison, Cape May;
eight sons, Eugene Gross, Bridgeton, Gordon Gross, Upper Deerfield Twp.,
LeTroy Gross, Woodbine, Gary Spencer, Florida, Ronald Gross, Florida,
James Stokes, North Carolina, Raynard Gross, Wisconsin and Steven
Spencer, Georgia; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one
great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell
Gross.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 29th at 1 p.m. at
the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield
Township.
Burial will take place at Haleyville Methodist Cemetery, Commercial
Township.
Friends may call on Saturday from 12 to 1 p.m. prior to the services at
the funeral home.
