Angel King

On Sunday, September 23, 2007 at around 3:30 pm a motor vehicle incident occurred in Mullica Township, involving two individuals on a Harley Davidson and a young adult in a small car. Angel and Daniel King were taking part in a charitable motorcycle run and had been riding all day. In response to the accident, Daniel King was flown to the Cape Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City for treatment; Angel did not did not survive the accident.

Daniel has been stable and has since had surgery; he is recovering well and shall be coming home soon.

Angel was 46, born on July 7, 1961; she was the daughter of Sharon and Harold Adams Jr., born at Bridgeton Hospital and raised in Cedarville. Angel attended Bridgeton High School and worked as a Dental Technician many years. She was an amazing woman of character: a faithful friend, a loving wife, daughter, sister and an astounding mother, caring for her family and devoting her life to raising her children. Over the course of her lifetime, she touched the hearts and lives of many; she will always be remembered by all who knew her.

A resident of Newport, Angel is survived by her husband Daniel L. King, and sons Zachary Zane (17 – a senior at Gloucester County Institute of Technology, applying to USAF Academy) and Seth Caleb (15 -a sophomore also at Gloucester County Institute of Technology).

Angel is also survived by her mother Sharon Adams and stepfather Michael Scarlato, brother, Chris Adams and his son Christopher Adams Jr., sister, Dawn Meischke (Brian Meischke) and her son Lee Rosado.

Angel’s family also includes her half-brother Arthur Bitzer, stepsisters: Veronica Yarrington and Michelle Evans, stepbrothers: Brian and Kevin Scarlato, and their families.
Angel was predeceased by her father Harold Adams Jr., grandparents, Jane and Bill Tompkins,Arthur and Betty Ingersoll and Mary and Harold Adams Sr.

A memorial service is to be held in honor of Angel in the near future. An announcement with the ceremony’s specific information will be forthcoming.

In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up to collect for multiple selected charities and foundations to which the the family would like to attribute in Angel’s name. The address information for the fund will accompany the announcement for the memorial services.
